Drawing Numbers
When the Boohbahs dance, they provide lots of different examples of how the number five can look. It can be five Boohbahs in a horizontal line. Or it can be a group of two in front and three behind (or vice versa). Or it can look like the dots on a pair of dice. Etc. These changing patterns can help young children understand that the number five can be represented in many ways. And they can provide a sense of what the symbol “5” actually represents.
